Dr Rebecca Bilton, is the Director, Workforce Capacity and Capability in ARIIA. The translational research projects she has delivered have involved understanding care quality and costs in dementia care; measuring care that is delivered nationally and assessing it against best practice; and improving care delivery through implementation of innovative new models. . Applying her skills and experience in research translation, aged care and research methodologies, Rebecca and her team within ARIIA deliver a free, national Innovator Training Program to support workforce in the aged care sector learn the knowledge and skills to contextualise and implement innovative, evidence-based change into their workplace to improve care and services and support the workforce to develop useful transferrable skills. These innovations have addressed workforce efficiency, technology integration, new models of person-centred care and workforce initiatives focused on care quality and outcomes.
